Engineering transfers to Cornell for Fall '09

I did call them .The deadline was May 1st and I managed to get 15 more days.Don’t the people from Cornell realise how frustrating it is ?I mean, who will wait until the end of May or even June to decide where to go especially if he has to reply to other colleges?

Clearly they don’t. Come on seriously. Now I’m worried whether I’m even going to get in. I got a B and a B- on hard courses and my exams are over. I don’t know now.

I got my math final exam result-got an A.Still waiting for Chemistry and Physics.I suppose they will ask for the final grades at some time, won’t they?

Yes they want the final grades. I really wonder what it takes for them to rescind admission offers.

At such slow pace, by the time we get the offer,be asked to send the final results, wait for the decision to be confirmed or not, the new academic year will begin!

Hahahaha yeah…I don’t know whether they want us to send grades after they’ve accepted or send and then accept or reject.

my spring semester has already ended. I decided to send my transcript to them, i applied to some other schools and if i happen to get into them by may 15 and haven’t hear from them by then i would definitely attend the other schools. dont know why its taking them this long

buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuump?

Alex, you applying for transfer to College of Engineering as well? Now I have a feeling I’m definitely going to get rejected. I did badly on my final exam in differential equations. Actually, no I didn’t. I was sure I had an A- or something. Everyone did WAY worse than expected. SO discouraged!!! :-(

I just hope things turnout well for everyone. I did pretty well this semester but had kind of a downward trend before this so I hope that doesnt affect me. anyway, lets just keep hoping, everything would be alright

about to take my calc II exam, wish me luck. i’ll need it ;)

Good luck doboo! I’m waiting and waiting for a Cornell envelope to come through the mailbox…Oh God…

I am sick of waiting for Cornell decisions. I got an email from Purdue to let them know whether I am accepting their offer or not.(last notice) I said yes, so now I am a sophomore Purdue Engineer!

I understand your condition fofo, but what if you get into cornell? I just checked the stats thread and people are getting absolutely butchered. I couldnot believe that some of those guys were rejected. this is serious.

can not believe CoE’s decisions won’t come out till late May!! CAS has way more applicants than CoE does and they’ve already released bunch of decisions…not cool, not cool

Yes, chris, I felt so sorry for those guys. Some of them had excellent stats. And honestly, I don,t care if I get into Cornell. This waiting and waiting has been killing me! And anyway, I checked the us news rankings and found out that Purdue is ranked 4th in AAE (I am probably changing major to Aeronautical engineering) and 7th in Mechanical Engineering. Cornell is ranked 8th.So let it be!

I agree noobie. Something is going wrong! I really can’t understand why it is taking so long.

here are the latest rankings chris. This makes me feel I have taken the right decision

Hey guys, I just received an email from CoE informing me that my file has undergone an ‘‘initial review’’ and they need my final grades for the current semester before making a final decision. Did anyone else receive such an email?
