Engineering! UC BERKELEY, UCLA, Rice, Carnegie Mellon, USC

Hoping to apply to chemical engineering to these colleges. Chance me? Thank you! Also, should I send just ACT scores or both ACT + SAT since I’m applying to engineering and need stronger math points?

Stats:

4.0 UW GPA / 4.3 W GPA

Rank: 1/450

SAT I - 2190 total 680 CR 780 Math 730 Writing (1 time)

SAT II - Math II 800, Chem 800

ACT Comp 34 Eng 35, Reading 33, Science 34, Math 32 (my ACT + SAT subscores are kind of opposites…) (1 time)

Other info:
Female, Asian, First Generation, applying to college of engineering to most schools (except Berkeley is under college of chemistry, does that affect anything?)
No hooks

Recs: Counselor didn’t really know me until this year, but she seems to like me. maybe 7 or 8/10
Teacher recs, hopefully, are good. ~8 or 9/10

EC’s:
-President of a service organization at my school + past officer 10th, 11th, 12th active years
-Treasurer of a coding/computer science club (it was founded this year)
-Part of an all girls engineering/technology program at school until it was closed down ( 9-11th grade )
-ATDP at UC Berkeley for 2 years (took art + writing class, organized group discussions)
-JV tennis player (lol, I am really not athletic)
-Participated in a summer science and engineering program at an out-of-state college, took neuroscience + genetics course

Essay: Not sure how to feel about it, but spent a lot of time on it ~8 or 9/10? Used my mom as a role model in essay

Really want to get into engineering, is it impacted? What are my chances? Thanks!

UC Berkeley: Low match
UCLA: Match
Rice: Match
Carnegie Mellon: Low match
USC: Low match

I think you should submit both your SAT and ACT scores to show your strength in math. Also, your EC’s are really strong and you seem like a great candidate for all of the schools. Good luck!

Thank you so much for the quick reply!

Can anyone give a second opinion as well? :o Or suggest other schools?
