Engineering vs Arts and Sciences Path for Computer Science Degree

I am interested in applying to Cornell and majoring in CS. I am Asian American, 1560 SAT and 4.0 UW GPA. Highly STEM-focused extracurriculars. I have heard that Engineering and A&S both offer CS degrees with the same CS-related courses, but they differ in non-CS courses. As a male, I am also aware that the gender distribution in Engineering is nearly 50/50, meaning that males have a much lower acceptance rate. Is the same true for A&S? Which of these departments would have a higher acceptance rate when adjusting for these factors?
