Ok so I applied to the Engineering School and got waitlisted, but I'm pretty sure I could've at least received a GT if I applied Arts and Sciences (my friend got at GT at Arts and Sciences, but was IMO, a weaker candidate). There is no hope for me at Cornell anymore right? They admitted 0 off the waitlist the last 2 years and Engineering doesn't have a GT option...
I'm really upset because Cornell really was my first choice; I guess I just wasn't qualified enough..

bump 10 char

i’m actually in the same boat. i was waitlisted engineering and cornell was my #1 choice, and still is. it’s true that cornell hasn’t taken any off the waitlist the past two years. but on other threads people are saying that many ivys will be using the waitlist this year. im crossing my fingers hoping this is true. i reeeeally realllly want to get into cornell engineering :(((( and i know a bunch of people who didn’t even want to go to cornell and just applied for fun and got in… sigh.

I am there as well my friend. Cornell became my top choice after visiting the campus. Although originally Carnegie Mellon was my top choice, but I really wanted to get into and attend Cornell. Mainly because the people there seem awesome. I really hope that Cornell accepts people off the waitlist this year, though I will not get my hopes up. I will just send them an email confirming that it is still my top choice and accept my fate.

Good luck! :)
