Engineering

I have been accepted to SUNY Stony Brook and Buffalo (still waiting to hear from RIT).
Which school would you recommend as I am not 100% certain that I want to study mechanical engineering?

They are all great for engineering. :)

Form what I have heard Stonybrook is a good school (good especially in the sciences) but can be tough socially since most of the students are Long Island commuters. SUNY Buffalo has a good program. RIT has a high acceptance rate so you should get in. They are most known for their co-op program which is very good and increases the chances of getting employment after graduation, but I’ve heard that UB’s program is ranked more highly.

UB has an outstanding program. SB tends to be a Monday- Friday school. Everyone seems to go home on the weekends.

My dtr goes to UB and loves it, wouldn’t apply to stony brook( wanted off LI) . UB has a nice campus, good dorms, lots clubs and social activities. Highly recommend it based on my dtrs experience to date, she is a Jr Chem E major
