<p>In my common app essay, a whole chunk of is dedicated to how I realized that I want to become an engineer. I have 4 schools now asking me why I have chosen engineering as a major. What would recommend I do?</p>
<p>Should I write how it appeals to me in a fashion that is not discussed in my common app essay then join it up with my common app essay?</p>

<p>I guess you should write something what you did that is connected to engineering, like a project, and of course what fascinates you about it. And yep, writing something not mentioned in common app essay is a great idea 
Also you can change the common app essay entirely, although I doubt it’s possible as deadlines are in couple of days.</p>
