engineering?

i'm a junior looking for colleges now.. and i've been thinking i might want to do chemical or biomedical engineering, but i dont want to apply to school where its hard to transfer out of engineering. i mean i think i like it now, but my interests could change in a year or two.

so my question is, what are some schools who have good programs for chem. engineering but are also well rounded? i also sort of want to stay on the east coast, but am open to other areas of the country as well.

i guess academic stats might be helpful so
3.9 uw, very competitive school in new york state, 2260 sat (760 math 780 writing 720 verbal) retaking, 800 math 2c, 790 chem, 770 ushistory, 115 amc12

Tulane has an excellent program but if you're looking for a better school, MIT off the top of my head.

GaTech? at least for Biomed. Idk much about their ChemE

Cornell, RPI, U Rochester, Syracuse, Columbia, U Delaware

U Buffalo if you want to save $$$

Columbia is definitely NOT what you are looking for. There is a seperate engineering school and if you want to transfer from engineering to regular, you have to apply and go through the same process as all transfer applicants--you get no advantage whatsoever. Columbia is one of the worst possible choices for what you want.
