<p>do they look at what major you applied for when the admissions review your application? if yes, do they look at biomedical engineering and biomedical engineering-premed as different majors?</p>
<p>Hm i guess it does affect it a little bit, just because there’s limited spots for one major. But then again you can apply for some other major and change it later.</p>

<p>You know how people always say that engineering is an impacted major?..It’s not, a lot of people switched out after 1st year or during 1st year of college. And during college, if your gpa isn’t up to engineering standards, the counselors will try to discourage you from pursuing engineering. Yes, the counselors do that in engineering. How they get hired? I have no clue…</p>
