engineering

Could students or parents help me on their opinion of the engineering professors, courses, etc at tcnj. I am not sure about the quality of the engineering program at tcnj. thanks

I haven’t heard any good things about it. I think engineering is better at Rutgers.

From a message I posted on another TCNJ thread:

My alma mater is Trenton State (TCNJ) and I absolutely loved the school when I attended. However, now that my kids have friends who are there, I can tell you that 3 out of four of them have transferred out of the engineering dept. for several reasons: 1) professors were difficult to understand and not readily available to students when extra help was needed 2) administrative apathy and difficulty with registration in order to graduate in 4 years. 3) zero social life with very few students staying on weekends 4) Not enough concerts/entertainment and activities planned for students so most go home on weekends. 5) a sleepy surrounding town. Now of course you will find many students who are thrilled with their experience. I’m just sharing this as food for thought. There are other threads on CC you may find helpful. Good luck in making your decision!

Rutgers or Rowan would be a far better choice/value for engineering. Good luck!

thanks for the help.
