<p>I'm considering engineering (maybe mechanical?), so any insights would be useful. So I heard for the first few years its calculus classes and more physics. How heavy can the work load get?</p>

<p>How heavy can it get? Worse than you can possibly imagine. Anyone who graduates with an engineering degree is to be congratulated on a difficult job well done, regardless of how long it takes or how low their GPA goes.</p>
