english 135ac

can someone tell me more about this class? it is wise to take it if i'm an incoming freshman? (if i got a 4 on the ap lit, and i want to get english out of the way because i'm not majoring in it)

i heard there's more reading in this class than others, is this class really that much harder? will i survive if i sparknote the readings?

oh, and my course set would be

math1a,
english 135ac
eng28
eng92

total=12units... hehe

No to fulfill the R&C course with a 4 on AP Lit you can't take English 135AC, you need to take an R&C "B" course such as Rhetoric R1B or Scandanavian R5B.

Basically to fulfill the requirement take a course that has a number of R_B, where the _ is a number usually 1 and sometimes 5.

actually, this policy is a little bit different for the CoE...

and since you're taking e28 and e92, i'm assuming you're in the CoE and thus english135ac WOULD satisfy the R&C part B requirement...
as well as a multitude of other req's:
1) humanities
2) upper division humanities (one of 2 required)
3) series (due to AP eng lit)
4) AC
5) R&C B

WOW..good stuff...5 different things!!..which is why i wanted to take it at first, but .... i don't think i'm up to the task. after all, it IS an upper division course...most students i talked to advised me not to take it, but i'm sure it's accomplishable with a certain (lot) amount of effort :)

Ah, English 135AC, would definitiely work for CoE.

I assumed that if one does not put what college they are in, they are in L&S, which has the most students.

This class though will be hellish, upper division English is as far away from cakewalk in the Humanities as you can get.
