English after AP Lit & Lang?

I'm in the advanced track a year ahead of my grade level in English (currently taking Honors English 9 as an 8th grader), and at the rate I'm going, I'll have exhausted my school's English curriculum, having taken both AP English Literature and AP English Language by the end of junior year. I know I don't need to worry about this for another 3-4 years, but what will I take senior year? My school does not offer courses beyond the ones I'll be taking, as, like I said before, I'm a year ahead and nobody from my school has done this before. :/

Any insight is appreciated :)

You can take an online English course, take a course at the local community college, or maybe you can join the student newspaper

You can check your local colleges to see if they offer any kind of dual-enrollment.

Your school doesn’t have any English electives for seniors to take?

If not, dual enrollment would probably be best. ****, take a creative writing class. Could be fun!

Community college classes, e.g. creative writing, British Lit, etc.

I did think dual-enrollment would probably be one of my only options… Would it be best to take a more focused course (like British Lit) or a more general course? I think I’d enjoy a focused one, so long as I got to choose an interesting subject, but would I suffer from a lack of wider exposure?

@Francaisalamatt - It does, but they’re open to 9-12 and seem pretty basic to me (Poetry, Mythology, or The American Short Story) and would be a step down from AP level work.

Omg calm. You’re in middle school.

You can decide junior year.

^ I am calm. I’m not stressed, worried, or anything else that would be not calm. Like I said before, I’m simply curious. I’m not planning anything at the moment; I’d just like to know what my options are. :)

everyone in my school takes british literature before and after 1700 senior year after AP lit junior year.
