<p>I am interested in applying to Tufts as an English major, and I also would love to write for the Tufts Daily. How is the English department at Tufts? It looks pretty great, but I want to hear what students think.</p>
<p>The English department is great - I was a double-major. Lots of opportunities for individualized attentionf rom faculty. Look at past posts for more info, hate repeating myself.</p>
<p>The Daily is good, but if you want to be a journalist, branch out after the Daily and get as many daily newspaper internships as possible. I'm a writer at a top 4 circulation newspaper now; graduated this May.</p>
<p>Ah, yes I looked back in the past to check. It's exactly what I wanted to hear. =) I also read the writing on <a href="http://www.tuftspublicjournal.com%5B/url%5D">www.tuftspublicjournal.com</a>. Whoa! Some of it was quite excellent!</p>
