English @ Cal or UCLA

So I just went on a tour over at UCLA today, and now I'm completely undecided. Up to this point I've always thought that Berkeley was a better fit for me, but after today I can also see myself at UCLA. It's such a beautiful campus! There are positives and negatives for both. But overall, my main question is this:

What are some of the main differences between each school's curriculum?
I'm interested in knowing the differences of each school's core English requirements, and also the strength of the professors in each program.

Someone please help me! I realize there are plenty of threads already debating the strengths of each school, but I'd like to hear from someone with experience in the english department at either school. Thanks in advance.

i can only speak for cal here... the major is pretty flexible. prereqs (you might've done these at your cc): 3 survey courses, shakespeare. upper div reqs: pre-1800 class, junior seminar, senior seminar, 5 upper div classes of your choice. i think cal's strong suit is modern lit. i know that 2 of the greatest joyceans in the country teach here and they are apparently amazing.
