Though, I know many people have posted the same question as me before, I am still posting my own.
I am looking for the very best UNDERGRAD creative writing/english schools. My intention is to later earn my masters in creative writing, hopefully from the prestigious Iowa Writers Workshop. I don't care if the schools are small, liberal arts colleges or big universities - none of that really matters to me. The only thing I really want to avoid is isolated, tiny colleges in tiny, middle-of-nowhere towns. Aside, from that, have at it.
Remember, I am looking for UNDERGRAD. If it helps, I'm primarily interested in fiction, not poetry.

Also, currently I'm looking into Cornell, Kenyon, Oberlin, Iowa, Columbia, and Wisconsin. Any thoughts on those are appreciated as well.

UPenn, Princeton, North Carolina, Knox, Emory, Johns Hopkins, Houston, Virginia, Michigan

BTW, isn’t Kenyon in a tiny middle-of-nowhere town?

My D2 just graduated, she says the best course she took in her entire undergrad career was a creative writing course at Cornell.

when you say north carolina, are you thinking chapel hill or which one?

Add Reed and Emerson to your list. Iowa… eh. I know you’re thinking of their fantastic grad program, but I wouldn’t be so sure that transfers to the undergrad experience - I’m not sure if they even have a creative writing degree (though you’ve probably looked at it more than I have). Otherwise, all of these suggestions are pretty spot on. I think LACs in general tend to stress writing, and it shows in their programs.

Kenyon is indeed in the middle of nowhere, so if you’re looking to avoid that sort of thing, I’d scratch it off your list.

UCLA has an English major with a Creative Writing concentration.
