Originally I was signed up fro English IV AP this year, but due to a scheduling conflict between my classes (I want to take Physics AP C, Calculus AP BC, and Dual Credit CISCO Networking) it was impossible. So instead I am taking English 12 Credit-By-Exam through Texas Tech University. This will satisfy my English credit for graduation, does anyone know if it will be frowned upon by colleges, most of which require 4 years of high school coursework in English minimum. Does this meet that requirement? Do I need to explain to the colleges I'm applying to (Naval Academy, MIT, West Point, Rice, Notre Dame) why I am not taking a formal English class?

I don't know if it helps, but here is some additional information.

I have received all A's in all my classes so far, including English.
I received a 4 on the English Language and Composition AP test.
I received a score of 790 on the Reading Section of the SAT I.

My course load for this year is currently: Physics C AP, US Gov AP, Calculus BC AP, Symphonic Band, Networking Technologies Dual Credit (Two block course), Statistics AP.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions you can give.
