Hey, I have a question for anyone who has been through the English program at Berkeley before. I'm going to be in the fall extension program during the fall next year and therefore I have a limited amount of classes I can take during that semester. I haven't been able to get out of any of the English requirement, but got a 670 in writing (680 is what you need to get out of part of it) and have not taken the AWPE yet. I missed the May date to take the AWPE, so I am planning on taking it in September at Berkeley. Since I don't know where should be placed I decided not to sign up for an English course the first semester and wait until 2nd semester to start on English. I got an email though a few days ago from the extension program strongly urging me to sign up for the first part of the English series as it may be hard to secure a spot for it 2nd semester, and that my grades will be negatively impacted in classes that require writing because I will have fallen behind. My plan was to start in the spring and do the next part of the class over the summer at my local CC. Well.... what should I do? It's kind of confusing but any advice would be helpful!

Thanks

BTW I know I spelled dilema wrong... it's dilemma sorry :)... I'm not the best speller.
