Miami as a city is very international influenced heavily by South America due to its population.
I think I’d definitely be more interested in weather, beeches, and women than things like skiing, not much of an outdoorsy person.
I am constantly surrounded by academics in the UK do not really too concerned about being surrounded by a certain kind of group.
Thank you for your input!
Haha, thank you! I suppose NYC would definitely be an experience.
I will certainly look into this!
Thank you again
Just saw that you’re a law student. For whatever it’s worth, of the schools on your list Michigan, Berkeley, and Georgetown have the best law schools with Texas and UCLA not too far behind, but I’m not sure as an undergrad study abroad student that you’d even take classes at the law school.
Looking like I can’t go wrong with California, particularly LA. Your input has definitely made Cali a probable choice!
Thank you!
I think Ideally, I’d want the most opposite experience from London, as I’m honestly sick of it having been here all my life. I have researched Chapel hill per your reccomendation and it does lovely, I must, so it’s not being eliminated from the list.
Thank you so much for your input
I think I will cross Brooklyn college off my list then,as I really want to reap the full US college experience and commuting would lessen that for me.
Thank you for the perspective on the East Coast colleges.
Also, another recommendation for Chapel Hill, so this is certainly being considered! And Boulder is definitely an opportunity to experience the polar opposite of anything else I’ve ever encountered so could be a fantastic choice.
I think my main interested truly are,
-
an experience to be fully immersed in the US college system (commuting definitely not ideal) - living on campus would be amazing for this immersion.
-
i think nice weather would be a Plus also, as I’ve never really experienced nice weather. (Nice meaning warm)
-
again, I know I sound quite trivial. But beautiful girls would be wonderful too, but I suppose they can be found at every college.
Thank you so much
Greek life means sororities and fraternities which is very prevalent in your big state schools and tend to be more party schools as the frats throw many of the parties. The SEC schools are known for the pretty girls.
Thank you, I’m looking into UCLA Per many recommendations and I will also further look into Georgetown. Thank you!
I’m searching this up now, thanks for this, this will definitely give me a better perspective into these unis!
Thank you
Wow, I’ve just read about the Berkley bubble. Sounds scary…
ASU, UCLA, UOM all sound like they’d meet my requirements for sure, they’re definitely high up on the list now!
Thank you! I’ve searched up SEC and LSU seems to be present.
I’ve only ever seen Frats and stuff on tv, it sounds great. Could definitely be a factor.
Thank you
Haha, oh gosh. Yes that’s definitely crossed off! Thank you Bronx!
UNC is in Chapel Hill which is a very liberal. It’s a good school but if you truly want fun I think there are better options for that purpose.
Unfortunately, as Law is post grad over there, I will not be able to attend any law schools, or do any kind of JD work, but this is helpful to know, as I could network with top legal individuals.
Crazy! I’ve just read just online, that 60% of people speak Spanish in Miami!
American college women don’t appreciate being judged on their relative “hotness.”
Ive heard some good things about Tulane when researching and just looking at party videos on YouTube, it looks awesome.
The girls look incredible!
Thank you!
I would pick LSU over Tulane. Tulane is small, LSU is huge. My husband and I hands down agree if you want to have fun choose LSU. In the south you will find that girls tend to get more dressed up for events. For example at the big state university football games the girls tend to wear dresses. Now if you want a serious imbalance of females to males look at Charleston. UGA also has more females than males.
I’m not really too concerned about cities and locations as such, but the opportunity to be fully immersed in a US college surrounded by US students would be great, so a college town could be an option, or if not a specific college town, a university with an active campus rather than a uni where people mostly commute would be preferred.
I think mostly warm would be preferred as enduring London all my life hasn’t been so glamorous.
I’m surprised to hear so many people say UNC chapel hill, as I really knew nothing about the state of NC, but upon investigation, it does look like a lovely place to be.
Thank you for breaking down the differences between the CA colleges, I really couldn’t differentiate. I’m not too concerned about sports, as the only football I know is soccer haha and I’ve never touched a basketball either.
Thank you for the UT explanation, that is certainly up there.
Also, I’m surprised to hear so many people say UNC chapel hill, as I really knew nothing about the state of NC, but upon investigation, it does look like a lovely place to be.
Your two choices seem stellar. They’re hold a high spot on my list. Really appreciate you taking the time to compose such a detailsed answer. Massive help.
I’m also composing a more concise list and have crossed all the ones you’ve said as you’ve given great reasons to do so and America > Canada for sure.
Thanks again!
