English Lang AP Question

Hey guys.

For the AP Eng Litg essay they give a list of books and then it says "or use another novel or play of recognized literary merit." Does that mean just something that's published and famous? This is out of a prep book...

They're really saying pick a book that your english teacher would make you read. I'm sure these are on the list, but things such as:

Invisible Man
Othello
Death of a Salesman

Pick something that's labeled a "classic," basically.

What about Kite Runner? :P hahaha I looked at the list today and was like "Kite Runner o.O"

You guys are late -__- :P

to be fair, the topic title is titled "english lang" =P

err don't even get me started on that. I thought I was testing next week until I got told "dude the the test is tomorrow." hahaha

I thought this was about English Lang too... I've got that one next week. Ugh.

I'm so horrible with remembering any details with a book I've read (including the main characters names while I'm reading it...) that I just picked up cliff notes of The Great Gatsby to apply it to any question they threw at me when I took Lit last year. Such a versatile book! That way I would know I'd have the character relationships, events, author, and misc details down when I came to that essay.
Ha, this year our AP Lit class looked to be in real pain going into the test. We lost our fabulous teacher last year to retirement and thus the one with low Lang rates took over. Yikes. Too bad he also taught us Lang this year!
