English Language AP

Did anyone take the english language ap exam? If so, what do you think would qualify for a five?

great essays and my teacher said passing for the mc is 36 right and that's a 3. So prob. 44ish? I don't know. Did you think the exam was hard? The only reason I thought it was bad is because my teacher didn't have us write ONE ESSAY ALL YEAR. That's right. Isn't that the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard? I wrote my 1st 3 essays of the year today...

I got a 4. MAYBE a 3. Not a 5.

My guess: Good essays, 70%+ MC.. but don't know how hard the exam was this year. Last years was breezy in comparison to others.

i found the second essay to be difficult

for more AP english stuff check out the AP section of the SAT/ACT section

with some luck, I think I got about 75% of the mc right. My mc score varied from 50% to 75%, but I think I did relatively well on the exam. I think I got 5/6 for all three essays, probably more 6s than 5s. ready2boutofhs....you never wrote a single essay this whole year? wow, that sucks...maybe you're teacher is inexperienced at teaching this class? In my school, we only started this class this year.

Who thought the article about the station wagon falling into the ravine funny?

i proctored the ap english language and i let them work with ONE partner

I didn't know that you were allowed to work in pairs?

well i did because i would feel bad if any of them did poorly

I hated the last reading passage on the mc. Does anyone else fuind passages more difficult when they're about abstract things like that one was? I also really liked the first essay.
I think a 4/5. But considering how much i suck at mc maybe a four. No getting my hopes up.
ONE DOWN AND 3 TO GO!

It is her first year teaching AP english but that doesn't excuse it. I was counting on reporting this grade to colleges but it's probably not going to be high enough now. I just think she didn't want to grade the essays.

haha i'm pretty sure i got better than a 2, because i was..conscious. so that's good. i think to get a 4/5, you need a 70%+ on the multiple choice and around 6/7s on the essays.

and, logisticslord--you let people work in groups?? hahah that makes me laugh. my proctor was a crazy lady who would scream "STOP WORKING!!!!!!" randomly in the utter silence and all 50 of us would jump at the same time..
