<p>i havent taken the AP course, but am considering walking in on the exam without any prep or anything, (i wouldnt have to pay, since our school only makes you pay for 2 exams and then they cover the rest)</p>
<p>i took ap eng lang last year and got a 4, is this test harder? also, is it content based or just essays and passages...</p>
<p>I would suggest comparing the collegeboard description of both courses. You know your strengths and weaknesses, so I would say go for it if it looks like something you can handle. However, there are some key differences between the two: like an essay on poetry and a greater emphasis on analysis. I think you may benefit from at least reviewing (however briefly) a prep book.</p>
