Hello all! I was recently looking at some colleges to transfer to (coming from a community college), and I came upon UVM. I understand that UVM can sometimes be a picky school to transfer into, but does anyone have any additional information and/or advice for possibly transferring there, other than what their website already mentions (I’d be going to their Department of English; Currently, I have a 3.53 GPA at Great Bay Community College in Portsmouth, NH and I have had some of my English writings printed in my school’s literary journal; I’m also in the second semester of my Freshman year)? Thanks for any information!
Vermont would be a great choice. Iowa writer’s workship is a very prestigious program for fiction writing. Maryland used to be well regarded for Journalism - that field is being hurt by the decline of the news business. Good luck whichever direction you go.
