Hi, I am currently a junior starting to look for a college. What are some good colleges (Preferably small) for a (tentative) english major? To narrow the search my credentials are as follows: 3.4 gpa/ 4.2 wieghted, top 20% of the class, about a 2200 on the SATI (taking it saturday), 790 on Us history satII, 540 on mathI satII (whoops :O). I have a variety of off beat Ecs, but nothing too spectacular to make a profound difference in admissions. Any ideas on a match college will help, thanks in advance.

Look into Grinnell and Kenyon -

Thanks for the info!

I looked into a lot of colleges and universities with excellent english programs when I was a rising senior in HS as well, since at the time, that was my intended major. I can help point out some schools for you if you offer a bit more info: aka: location, student body type, greek life, financial need, etc. By the way, I currently attend Kenyon. But I'm preparing to transfer.

Denison, Kenyon, Whitman.

Any location is fine, but perhaps it will be for the best if the school is closer to the East Coast (currently live in md/pa). For the student-body, co-ed education is a must. I am not a leftist or activist (yet?); however, I am open to such culture at college to an extreme degree if needed. I don't plan on joining a fraternity. For financial aid, I think I can manage $30k a year before having to rely on a loan for tuition/board.
It would be nice if the college offered a co-op/internship program with job security upon graduation as well. Thanks for your suggestions in advance.
