<p>I want to become a high school English teacher, but do not know if I should choose the English major or the English Education major. Many of my high school teachers only majored in the subject they teach and then were later certified, so I know the education part is not necessary. How much does it increase my job prospects versus getting a bachelors and then masters in English? I also want to minor in TESOL education, and I know doing the English Education major with the TESOL minor will be difficult to do on time. Thanks!</p>
