<p>I'm not accepted yet, and it will be an uphill climb for me since I am OOS CC transfer, but I was wondering what people thought of the program. It's supposed to be one of the best, so I was just wondering what real students thought of it?</p>

<p>Hi! That’s me. Yes, do PM me if you have specific questions. I will have to say that I don’t know much about either modern American lit or creative writing as I have a completely different area of focus, but I can answer any general questions you have about the English department/professors and et cetera.</p>
<p>The English department here is very good. We’re top 10 (for grad school) in nearly every sub-specialty. Mine, for example, is tied for #1 with Harvard. The professors are pretty universally great – that “top 10 in graduate departments” thing influences the hires – and the department as a whole is pretty supportive.</p>
