English + Math

I've stumbled upon something that caught my eye. A few times on this board I've read posters' comments indicating that some colleges only look at the English and Math section of the ACT.

Did they accidentally misinterpret something? Or do some colleges ignore that science and reading sections?

The reason I'm asking is that I scored a 31 on the ACT, getting a 34 in English, a 34 in Math, a 34 in Reading, and a 23 in Science.

I think its Math and Reading.....anyway ur good 2 go even if thats the case.

^ No, it's always the math and English sections.

Some colleges (e.g. UMich) only look at your composite, your English, and your math scores. Most colleges will just focus on your composite score, but will look at all sections of the ACT.

Just know that the colleges know that the most important part of the ACT is the composite score. :)
