Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I wasn't exactly sure where to put it. After spending a semester trying to force myself to be a Business major (worse mistake ever, but hey life is a learning experience I guess) i'm trying to get myself back on track.

The career/job that is my end goal has listed both English or Media studies as one of the desired/required degrees that candidates need to have....ultimately even if I can't get that job i'd love to do something related to film production or screen writing so i'm sort of torn between the two. I realize that the success rate/people who make a career in that field is very small so I always figured if I had an English Major, I could get the teaching credential and have that to fall back on (not saying that those jobs are easy to come by either, but they are more plentiful then film/media related jobs) and I have always had being a teacher as one of my top 3 career choices as well.

I was just wondering if I could get opinions on Majoring in English and minoring in Media Studies (The Media Studies programs i'd be looking at are UNC Greensboro or UNC Wilmington depending on the financial aid available) or flipping it around and Majoring in Media Studies with a Minor in English.

Thanks for any advice!
