Hey,

I have this problem at school regarding an English class. I took English 10 (Regular) over the summer (they don't offer honors) and I tried to take AP Lang this year, but the school wouldn't let me.

So instead, I'm taking AP Economics instead of an english class. Would it look bad to colleges if I didn't take an "Honors English 10" in my sophomore year as opposed to taking AP Economics and "Regular English 10" (via summer school)? Below, I attached what my schedule could look like and what my current schedule is.

Also, I qualify for the Stanford EPGY or JHU AP Lang course. So I'll probably be taking that. But the school said they won't give me credit or put it on my transcript.

Schedule A: COULD look like
AP Calculus AB
AP European History
AP US Government
AP Music Theory
AL Spanish 5
Honors Biology
Honors English 10

Schedule B: What is IS
AP Calculus AB
AP European History
AP US Government
AP Music Theory
AP Economics
AL Spanish 5
Honors Biology
Regular English 10 (summer school - will be noted on transcript)
AP English Lang (online - but won't show up on transcript)

So I guess my 2 questions are:
1) Did I make a horrible mistake in taking "Regular English 10" over the summer?
2) If I take AP Lang online, is there some way to tell colleges that I still took English online and would it count?

Thanks!
