The answer is C, however, I chose A. The question asks which answer choice that best illustrates the term dress code IN THAT SENTENCE. How can one assume that the dress code includes those elements from just that sentence? Wouldn't A be a more logical answer, since the dress code has not been discussed yet at that point in the passage? </p>

<p>1) Because later in the paragraph it indicates that some boy got sent home for wearing blue jeans. Also, the other answers (B and D) aren’t substantiated by the passage. A is too general.</p>

<p>2) The correct answer is B? Right? The rest are grammatically correct while B is a run on sentence (2 independent clauses linked together). </p>

<p>3) D- Keep it short and sweet. The rest are unnecessarily repetitive and wordy. </p>

<p>4) Think about it, would you say: I am a dog, who is dumb. OR I am a dog, whom is dumb? Who has to refer to the subject of the sentence, not the object. </p>

<p>5) Correct answer is F? You can’t differentiate between the rest of the answers, so the answer must be the short and simplest: F.</p>
