what did u all think??

are we allowed to discuss them?

anyways, i didn't like the first essay (i liked the story, but the essay was weird... for me at least).
the second one was way too easy.

good luck to everyone who is taking the second part tomorrow!

i thought the english regents was given in january now or is that just my school

yeah, we can discuss them ... i thought the listening was easy and interesting... much more interesting than the other years ... the multiple choice was really easy.. the first essay was really easy ... the second one was easy too but i was so bored and tired but hopefully i got 2 6's

the regents are administered 3 times a year (january, june and august). it depends on the school as to when the students take each one (i think). my friend also took the english regents in january.

the multiple choice questions are always too easy...

what do we have to kno for tommorow

literary devices and two novels.

any1 have a good link for the lit devices that i would have to kno i knot that there are like a million but i just wanna kno like the ones that are the most common or more useful

point-of-view, tone/mood, imagery are in just about every literary piece. There's also onomatopoeia, personification, assonance, consonance, repetition, irony, metaphor, similie, rhythm, alliteration.... etc.

here's something on the english regents:
http://regentsprep.org/Regents/english/english.cfm

anyone kno a site that lists the literary terms along with their definitions

Good luck to you all!

I took it in January, and found out that I hate vaudeville. Borrrring.. at least it wasn't about the mating ritual of turtles, like it was a couple of years ago. :)

Again, good luck!

vaudeville lol i remember that.. that killed the test. I was in between spelling and closing my eyes. That was probably the most boring thing i have ever heard in my life. It was all about immigrants and how cultural diffusion occured in the theater... Gosh!

what am i supposed to do for this this poem comparison thing anyone tell me?

I loved the Vaudeville part! but it was just oh so repetitive

:D gotta 100 woohoo!

dan112931, don't worry about the poem comparison thing. basically they give you a story and then a poem, and you are supposed to write an "unified essay" aobut some theme they give you and you have to use one literary device from each. thats all. they usually are really easy poems to understand and you can probably always use stuff like metaphor, imagery, etc. compared to the english ap and even the SATs, the english regents is not very hard.

so whatd u all think??

do u remember what u guys put for some of the m.c. questions ... it was harder than i thought but still pretty easy

BLAH at that stupid poem. I really FUBAR'd that essay :(

yeah that poem was so wierd ... what were some of your answers

the only one i remember was with the really expensive psychoanalysis i put it shows he's an adult now
