English Requirement to transfer UCLA / UCSD **URGENT**

I am planning to transfer to UCLA or UCSD 08 Fall. My 1st language is not english but I am California residence. Do I need to take any public exam like TOEFL or as long as I look 2 English Classes in community college is fine?
I was so worry coz i didn't take any TOEFL and the application deadline is coming.

You only need to take the TOEFL if you are an international student which means you are on a student visa. Since you have Californian residency and took your English classes you should be fine. Good luck on your application.

Oh! are u sure! HehE
THanks a lot.
I was so confuse before as I asked some counselor and some of they they said I need to take TOEFL and some of them said no.
I was so confuse...

I'm pretty sure that you don't need the TOEFL. It is only for those who are international students to prove that they understand English and are able to follow the lectures. But if you took the English classes at a CC and passed them it shows that your English is good enough for UC.
