I'm an English major planning to transfer to either UCB, UCLA, UCI, UCSB or Cal Poly Slo. I had told my counselor primarily I wanted to go to UCB and through assist.org they do not mention foreign languages.. however I recently realized I should be looking at the perquisites for the other colleges. I have all prerequisites covered everywhere except for the 4th year of a foreign language done. I had done French 101 and French 102 in high school, which will cover IGETC but since my CC does not offer French 103 and 104 I'm having to start over with Spanish 101 this fall. I'll basically be done up to Spanish 102 in the spring.

So I guess my question is:

For you English majors who have successfully transfered (or got admitted) did you have all four years of your foreign language completed? I'm nervous this is really going to have an impact on my application.

If it helps:

I have a 4.0 and will be done with "the three golden" classes (Math, English, Critical thinking) by this Fall.
