English.

I just received my final grade for English: B

What am I to do? Ah, I am panicking. I thought I did very well on the final exam, but apparently it wasn't enough. I worked quite hard in the class, and I would not be surprised if English I Honors is the hardest class that I ever take in High School.

Eek.

One B won't ruin any plans don't worry about it.

Woah! English? That is the only class I can get A's in.

What was on your final exam?

It was multiple choice. Nothing too fancy: grammar and spelling corrections and reading passages. We took practice tests and I prepared a lot, so I thought the task would be feasible.
To be honest, I thought the test was pretty easy. It was of much lesser difficulty than the SSAT reading section, which I believe I missed one or two questions on. Apparently, I did something wrong.

Oh, my english teachers always gives us short answer exams/tests, which can be annoying because I have to come up with my own answer. His tests are mainly on grammar, books we've read, and writing. I got a 99% on the final, but that was because he gave our class a study guide that was exactly like the exam. :D

That would have done me in.

They probably didn't grade it and gave you a B based on your quarter grades. Most teachers are corrupt like that.

If it was multiple choice, it should have been easy enough to grade; hence why teachers use scantrons for finals.

The exam was state-wide, so it was graded by machine.

Go ahead, lease that Volvo now.

A B won't kill you; trust me. If it does, call me.

hmmmm, I think an A- could kill you, no I'm being honest, I got a A- in an arts class and brought my rank down from 1 to 4, start pondering what this world's got to ...

What was your grade before? I had a final grade of 89 last semester. Rawr! Only 2 A's out of 5 semesters of English so far (excluding online class)

English only gets harder and wow...that sounds like an easy English exam, you had no timed writing or you didn't have to analyze a short story/write an essay about it.

Chaos, clear out your PM box.

Trust me, you'll do horribly in a boarding school English because it's much more difficult.

Way to keep his mindset up!

The real world is harsh. Face it :)

It's not gonna kill you; also, you're a freshmen, so it's also likely that anyone who cares [I'm thinking adcoms; don't know anything about your parents but probably the same?] will just overlook it. It's not a big deal, so relax. =]

And you said it's probably the hardest English class you're going to take, so look on the bright side - they're only going to get easier!

Buttery, AP English will be the hardest, very, very, very few people get A-s, most get Bs or under.

What you say is true, Masterus.

I will have to hone my English skills. It will be a Herculean task.:)

Right...I should try that sometimes, see if that takes me even further than I've gotten.
