Right now I am signed up for workload English. I was not able to make it for testing when it was offered. My question is would it be a wise decision to drop out and take something more meaningful instead? Or is it a good class to get started with. I’m pretty sure I can pass the test. When can i take it anyways? Thanks !

you missed the exam durring orientation, or if you don't qualify the requirement through AP or CC credit? I remember last year they offer all placement exams at the start of each quarter. I don't know the exact date you can take the exams, but you can find out by going to the Learning Skills Center (in 2nd floor dutton) and ask them when the test dates are for Subject A.

Good luck

I don't think you can take any writing classes before you pass that, so I would put it at the top of my list of things to do. Hopefully they have a Subject A at the beginning of this quarter for you to take.

The AWPE is offered on the 25th, unless the site is outdated. I believe the policy is you can take classes with writing, but itwon't count for a GE writing requirement if you haven't pass the exam or something. It is not something you have to do right away, and if you end up not passing you can just take it in Winter. But you do have to fulfill the requirement your first year.

Yarold has it right. Get it out of the way!!!
