Enjoy high school while it's still there

I cannot overemphasize how much I dislike my current high-school life. Literally anything would be better.

It sounds terrible from your perspective, but I’m relcutant to take the advice of someone who was “Mr. Popularity” on HS and wants to relive his glory days at a CC. Every nerd in your graduating class is laughing at you right now. :/

I have known superficiality and social isolation for the past three years and even in middle-school. Now that I have a better understanding of how people work, I fully expect to be more social and confident in college.

Sometimes, it’s about manning up to the situation.

I think his advice would be better if it was:

If you are enjoying high-school very much, try to cherish it. You most likely won’t be enjoying life like you are now forever.

obviously if you are in the OP’s position (few friends, and sad about it), but in hs, it probably doesn’t make sense to take his advice and enjoy it. Would he take your advice if you told him to enjoy his period of friendlessness? probably not.

@ wiscongene: do you have a pet?

If you live in dorm you’ll probably make friends but under most circumstances it’s tough

Yes I do…?

Community college is TOTALLY different than a 4-year university. It’s a 100% commuter school. Your friends can say what they want, but you don’t know until you experience something yourself.

Sorry your experience is bad, hope it gets Better.

oh good :).
