....and moms and dads.....

Same to you and your S Bluebayou. We parents are going to miss all this - not as much as the '08s of course.

Thanks blue.

And a happy new year to you and Ohmadre. It is slowly becoming very real and at the same time some things never change (chicky is flying back tomorrow and has not done laundry or packed).

Ohmadre,

She has had a change of heart and mind. After taking the first aid in the wilderness class, and getting sick to the point that she was not able to finish the course (although I was still billed for the $125) she has decided to ski this winter. She said she will formally register tuesday and will get fitted for skis and a helmet later in the week.

After this she will still have one more PE remaining. Don't worry, you'll know my kid at graduation because I think she is still going to be the one running to the ceremony with the wet hair due to just finishing the swimming requirement.

I don't mind if the winter term drags a little because when she gets home for spring break, she wants to test the apartment hunting waters.

Hey Sybbie -

So sorry to hear she got so sick. I hope she loves skiing - in fact I hope all our '08's get some skiing in this last winter quarter! And that they don't have to import snow for winter carnival.

3 1/3 years could not have gone faster! I imagine they are all excited for whatever is around the corner, but I'm glad the experience has been so great that they aren't in any hurry to see it all end.

Blue, I am just thinking your student is not an '08. Still, you probably concur that these college years go flying!

yes, ohmadre; BlueSon is a '10, now back at MHT awaiting Vermont transit or trying to bum a ride from anyone with a Green sweatshirt. :)

Sybbie: perhaps "chicky" could complete a triathlon the morning of graduation, which could fulfill the PE & swimming requirements - a regular two-fer. It'd be worth it to see mom squirm in the audience, wondering if she'd ever make it to the stage ontime. LOL
