Enough hours in the day?

So I'm psyched about next year, to say the least. I can't stop thinking about what it's going to be like, who I'm going to meet, etc etc. I'm getting the feeling though that I'm going to feel the crunch when I to Princeton, and not be able to do everything I want. This includes playing in the jazz bands, concert bands, working out, badminton (!), playing golf, socializing, work-study program, and...did I forget one?...right, school work.

Am I being unrealistic in thinking I can fit all these things in? Or being unnecessarily pesimistic?

nah i have the feeling that u'll have the opportunity to do anything u want.

i'm ssssssssssssoooooooooooooo excited too. so much stuff to do. but i plan on MAKING time if necessary.

am i wierd if i'm excited for classes?

we need to all get to know each other beforehand and then we can all OA together! whooo!!!!!

im excited for everything....=P

The next 4 years at Princeton are going to be AWESOME!!!!
So psyched!

tiger x3- I'm a bit nervous too about fitting everything in esp b/c I want to go to med school. But whatever we do at Pton, it's gonna be a fun, exciting, and totally amazing time.

Get excited, peoplez! Because yes, just like Tofu said, the next four years will be awesome...totally out of this world.

No, you won't have enough hours in the day. That's one of the few complaints I ever get out of Princetonians about going to school at Princeton. So yeah, we'll have to prioritize, but hey, doesn't that say something about the hotness of our school? Ahhh! I can't wait...it's finally becoming real...woohoo!

and peg, I'm excited for classes too. especially since high school ones such so much. I've planned my fall schedule about 5 times over. Sad? Yes. Am I ashamed? Hell no!

Does everyone who apply to OA get accepted?

what clubs do yall think u will join? im really involved in interact/rotary and i found the rotaract at pton but the website is really ugly and it kinda turned me off...does anyone know about the rotaract at pton?

Hmmm...so far I've been thinking about Theater Intime, USG, the Institute for International & Regional Studies, the Human Values Forum, and maybe the Prince. So much out there! So little time, so little time...

college is all about that ! enjoy undergrad "irresponsibility" while it lasts before you find yourself with a mortgage, two kids and a 1 hour commute :(

word OA at princeton! im gonna OA myself to death, between ECs and trying to double major. i just hope my parents dont drive by when i get drunk at a college party. (i live about 5-10 mins off campus)

ha ha... that might be a tad awkward

my tour guide was very frank and said that it all depends on the eating club you choose. luckily for you, pton health services dosent report any alcohol related treatment to your parents unless it becomes repetitive

okay, i'm goign to feel dumb to ask (but not too dumb since I got in Princeton ;) ) what is OA?

oh and on the topic of extracurricular endeavors at Princeton, does anyone happen to know if they have an equivalent to Yale's Hunger and Homeless Action Team (or something like that)? Alsooo, can we take beginner level classes for certain musical instruments? I checked the music dept site, but didnt see anything of the sort annnnd one more thing, does our beloved Princeton have an independent film club ?

^^ about the clubs, im sure they do. def a film club. and of course, if not, you can start one!

OA = overachieve/overachieving

I think I'm going to go for the art clubs. Stella Art Club, Figure Drawing Club. There's not that much art centered activites, that I can find. :( Art never gets the attention it deserves (vs. dance, music, theater).

OA is outdoor action its lik an activity before school officially starts where about 50% of the freshman class go on this outdoor hiking/camping trip. its supposed to be really fun!

Tofu, visual artists hang out at 185 Nassau, as do people in all the arts. It seems to be a vibrant and artistically rich community, with guest artists, etc. http://www.princeton.edu/~visarts/index3.html

Congrats to all!

OA is also Outdoor Adventure and I think we have people using OA in both contexts.

I'm totally psyched for Princeton. How many people are going to April Hosting? I have to leave on Friday afternoon/evening, but I'm making my parents get me there (Prom + basketball tourney=conflict with leaving on Saturday).

I think the fact that we got into Princeton means that we all enjoy academics. I'm really excited just to sit in on one of the classes on Thursday, let alone make a schedule! Can't wait to meet everybody!

Princeton here we come!
Tigers '09!

yay, I'm def doing April Hosting, and absolutely cannot wait. Oh btw, I think we should start a thread like the Yale board about totally random but awesome things about Princeton to get us even more excited about spending the next four years of our life there. (I'd start it but I dont have any ideas b/c I dont know too much about Princeton, except the fact that I love it for accepting me!)

Off on a tangent, I like it that your title is "enough hours in the day", and I am reading it on Daylight savings day, which is the only day of the year to have 23 hours.
