I've never taken the SSAT before, but my first time will be in January. I know there is a time limit for every section. Are the time limits reasonable...do most people finish in time)?
Thank you!

I took it in december and got in the 82% overall (i’m in eighth grade). I felt a little rushed on the parts because of the time limit (especially math and verbal), but that could have just been me, as i am not sure how fast i work compared to other people. Good Luck!
P.S- it might have been because the math part was harder than i thought it would be.

I strongly encourage you to get a SSAT prep book and familiarize yourself with the test. The prep books will explain EXACTLY what the test will look like, what the sections are, how many questions are in each section, and how many minutes you have to take each section. Take a practice test, under the same conditions as you will for the real test (have your parents “proctor” the test, and time you just like the real test).

This can make you feel MUCH more at ease when you take the SSAT in January. Practice can really help your confidence, and that alone can help you do your best.

Good luck!

Thank you so much!
