Have you, or anybody you've known, enrolled in a college that you've never visited? If so, how did it work out for you? Was the college what you had expected based upon the virtual tours, online readings, etc? Did anybody have a disastrous experience doing this? Is this common for somebody who can't afford to visit many different schools? Or would you say the norm is to apply to schools that you may not have visited, but then find a way to visit once you've been admitted just to insure it really will be a good "fit," after all, before making the final decision?
