Hey guys, I am a history major but I need other upper division classes for units. I was looking at a couple of Film and Television studies classes and they all have Major or Minor restrictions. It won't let me enroll but I've heard it's possible to sign up for these classes even if you are not that specific major/minor? Is it because I have to wait until my second pass to enroll? Or do I have to do something specific to get permission to enroll? Any response would be appreciated, thanks

Talk to professor/counselor to get PTE number?

Film and Television is limited to departmental majors and minors on the first enrollment pass. Nonmajors may enroll on the second pass, space permitting.

thank you guys for the info! will definitely retry on the second pass if not, talk to the professor

Just another tidbit, C132 and 133 are the exact same class except 133 has a discussion. 133 meets 1 hour a week for lecture and 1 hour a week for discussion. 2 hours a week and it’s 4 units? Doesn’t make sense but whatever.
