Enrolling in classes

Ok, so when my window opens, the registration book says that I should hit enroll all and see what happens. So lets say that 3 of my 4 classes are fine but my writing 20 is full. Will it enroll me in those 3 still? I'm asking this because if i dont get in my writing 20, then my backup schedule involves switching sections in two other classes to make a time slot for my backup writing 20 course. So, is it better for me to hit enroll all, or just hit the plus sign for each course, even though it will take longer and worsen my chances of getting all my classes?

thanks

Yes, hit enroll all. You will be put in as many of your classes as possible. You'll also be put on the waitlist for your other classes, because there's always a chance that someone will switch out of the other classes. If you need to switch sections after you enrolled, it's really no problem.

By the way, do we get to change your handle anytime soon? :p

Hit enroll all because the system puts you on the end of a queue each time you do something-- you can wind up with nothing by doing it individually.

I don't know if incoming freshmen are allowed to enroll as a member of a waitlist.

i'm not up on the internet lingo, but if by handle, you mean my name...then it will be changed shortly

Awww - BDM - I think JD should keep the name and then he'll have more legitimacy when he says things nice about Duke ;)

Heh. Point well taken.

i always knew DukeEgr93 was smart

so should I change my name?....and if i should, we should start a thread and take suggestions and vote!
