Probably - Depends on the school. We did since the date fell on a Saturday last year, I think - but results vary by school. Frankly, I don’t think any school is that mean spirited since the 10th falls on a Sunday. They’ll be flooded with envelopes on Monday.

Still - he asked if someone would be in the office to take a letter on Sunday and I think - highly unlikely.

Thanks all. The reason I was thinking of Sunday drop-off is because I still cannot decide, and more time hopefully can let me become more informed. There could be that cold feet feeling as well. I cannot jump and better someone pushes me off the cliff.

hootoo, I think different schools have different policies. Some schools will be open specifically for this on Sunday, some schools say postmarked on Monday is fine. Why don’t you shoot them an email and see what they say?

I phoned the admissions office this morning with the very same question. I was told the 4/11 date is critical, so I USPS overnight for Saturday delivery.

I mailed my enrollment contract on April 8th (GMT +8 time - international applicant), but I am worried that it won’t get to the admissions office until after April 10th. Will this be a big problem?

@vivsters, If you picked Choate, you can let them know of your intentions through your GoChoate acct. Go back to your aceptance letter on line. There you will find a link to inform the AO. This will hold your spot and they will know your signed contract is in the mail.

As I finally ran out of the clock, I knew I had to do something dramatic - so I wrote “M” and “E” on two little pieces of paper and rolled them up. The first draw was “M”, so I put it back and tried again. Guess what, it was “M” again. I knew that was special but I also realized I had never got something right twice in my life before, so I grabbed the “E” and decided then this had to be it. :D

^^ true story btw, especially the “M&M” part.

I think in the end, it is the availability of more of my Sports in Exeter, and better balance of its course offerings. I feel I lost something already not able to attend Milton, as it is a terrific school.

^^ Love the story, hootoo, as always. My dad actually gave me some advice long ago that echoes what you did: toss a penny up in the air, heads for one decision, tails for the other. While it is in the air, listen to what you hear yourself hoping it will be. That is the right answer.
