Enrollment Deferment

I was wondering how I 'apply' for a deferment of enrollment. I was accepted ED and intend to take a gap year next year. I googled and checked the site but couldn't find any information. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Don’t you write a letter of intent requesting permission to defer admission for a year?

Handwrite or would an email suffice? And waht info should it contain? And who exactly should it be sent to?

Not to be rude, but don’t you think it’s best just to call the admissions office and ask them what their policy and procedure is for gap years? I’m sure you’ll get a faster, more direct/accurate answer.

I will, but its closed now. Its not like it hurts to ask online. If there happens to be someone who knows I save myself a phone call, if not then no big loss. I don’t see anything wrong in my asking.

You should probably write to admissions, maybe your regional representative? Include what you plan to do during your year off (work, community service, etc. make sure it’s a good reason) and hope for the best! They should let you do it.
