I, as usual, am confused. Their website,
http://www.northeastern.edu/admittedstudents/enrollment/
says that I have to find something on my portal called "Pay my deposit," but I see no such thing. Is that the $600 housing deposit I paid? Also, most of my friends say there is a "commit" button on their universities' websites. Does Northeastern have one of those?

@dukehopeful2014 The enrollment deposit is different than the housing deposit. Enrollment deposit was in the myneu portal and is a 200$ deposit due by may1st on top of the housing deposit. I had trouble finding it in my portal initially, but it should be under the self-service tab. However, if it is not there (which originally happened to me), email admissions and they can help. Admissions got back to me two days of me emailing them and told me to recheck the portal and sure enough it was now there. Best of luck!

Btw, I don’t recall Northeastern having a “commit” button so as long as you pay the deposit you should be all set.

We paid a 600.00 enrollment deposit. It didn’t say anything about a housing deposit. Once she paid it she was able to sign up for orientation and fill out housing info. Are you sure there are seperate housing and enrollment deposits?

@tankredsox Are you sure about that extra fee? notice the “Enrollment Deposit Fall”

Enrollment Deposit Fall - Non-Refundable $600.00
Total $600.00

I am under the impression that the $600 deposit is the only one needed. I have had no problems and already have my roommate settled and orientation registration completed.

D paid $600 and it allowed her to fill out the housing form and enroll for orientation.

Called housing today to confirm and the $600 enrollment deposit includes the $200 housing deposit.

are both the enrollment and housing deposits - 600 dollars total, non-refundable??

If you pay a deposit to a school, and later get off the waitlist at a school that you prefer, you generally have lost your deposit.
There might be a few cases where your deposit is refundable.
