1) Is it still possible to sign up for a class after it's closed? If so, how does that work? PTE? <-- what is that?

2) I was supposed to have priority through ge clusters and pan, but how come I still end up w/ the crappy enrollment times? How are these times determined?

If you sign up after it is closed, you will be waitlisted, if that is available. PTE is a code given to you by the professor, or TA, which allows you to enroll in the class even if it is full.

Priority gives you an earlier designated priority pass. It is separate from your first and second pass. I believe that having priority does not give you an earlier first or second pass. In fact I HEARD that it pushes those back a bit, but I am not too sure about that.

You can ask for the PTE, but there is no guarantee that you will get a PTE. Some professors simply don't or can't give them out, i.e. Lavelle's 14 series chem.

mrMOO walked in on my fiat lux (make sure to come early!) and talked to the professor (Haselton). I think she squeezed in three more people in a 15-student fiat lux.

I think it all depends on the professor. Why don't you email them and/or make sure to come to class early and ask them personally?
