Is it possible/doable? Will it hurt? Have people done it?

Pharmacy is a hard and time consuming major. There is no such thing as a pre-med major its a track so you can techanilly major in anything just take the pre-reqs required for med school. Biology, chemistry, pharmacy all incorporate the pre-reqs required for pre-med track already so thats why its heavily majored in for pre-meds.

Choose a major you are interested in and take the pre-reqs for the pre-med track so you can have a good gpa. Most incoming students who say they are pre-med usually change their mind because biology and organic chemistry at universitys are designed to weed out fake pre-meds(require alot of effort to get an A and B).

If you like pharmacy they do it but pharmacy majors ending gpa are not comparable to students majoring in bio or philosophy because of the hard courses required for pharamacy major.

There is no such thing as “premed major” which means you won’t be “switching” your major. Did you mean pharmacy as in pure pharmacy track for PharmD degree? If you’re a pharmacy student who wants to go to the medical school, you are Premed Pharm. Students who are in the pharmacy program often choose to apply to medical schools, and it’s very common to see this. But they will be applying for med schools after they receive their PharmD (after 6 Years) where as other regular premeds are given 4 years to prepare their application.
