Entering as a Sophomore

<p>If my daughter attends one college as a freshman because it is the most affordable and then wants to transfer as a sophomore to a more highly ranked college, what would her chances be to receive merit aid offers from those colleges as a sophmore (assuming, of course, that she had good freshman grades)...are her chances the same, lower, higher?</p>

<p>I believe her chances of getting merid aid would be zero. I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure that most schools only offer merit aid to incoming freshman which is the biggest drawbacks of transferring.</p>
