haha I've never heard the word "entering" used for a test before :P

Good luck to your writing.

I am doing only the CR sections in the BB, Like one a day. I am not doing anything for math or writing b/c i already have an 800 and 750 respectively. But 660 CR.....>_<

i'm going for the Dec SAT. i'll be working with the following books (i'm not going to do everything in every book but i'll do what i deem necessary)

Blue Book (obviously!)
Barron's How to Prepare for the SAT 2007 (CR + W)
Barron's How to Prepare for the SAT 21st Edition (old style but use it for CR)
Kaplan SAT II Writing (from the old days when writing was a subject test.)
McGraw-Hill Conquering the SAT Critical Reading
College Board 10 Real SATs
Princeton Review SAT 2007
Kaplan SAT Premier Program 2008
Grammatix
RocketReview
ACRO Master the SAT
Direct Hits (Vocab)
McGraw Hill SAT 2400
Barron's Verbal Workbook for the SAT (old style)
Barron's Writing Workbook for the new SAT

@luofernando: how did you prep for your writing 750? i'm aiming around there in december.

im taking dec sat and im not studying at all, pfft. i'll cram till the last week > : ]

If you haven't already done it, the SAT practice test on the College Board website Free SAT Practice Test | Online SAT Practice is a real SAT and is more current than the BB tests. You will receive full explanations of the answers for all 3 sections too.

The College Board also has full explanations for the PSAT practice booklet 2008 PSAT/NMSQT Practice Test Explanations. You need to get a copy of the 2008 Official Student Guide to the PSAT/NMSQT from your college counseling office. Even though it is a PSAT it will be very helpful in studying for the SAT especially having the full explanations.

gruber's and blue book!!!

schrizto "haha I've never heard the word "entering" used for a test before :P"

It's real nice of you to stick to the main point

Studying BB.

how am i prepping? well im hooking up with my girlfriend a lot, and getting pumped by listening to rock music.

hmmm how am i preparing...? lets put it this way how am i not preparing? lol seriously ap bio , ap us and the ISEF competition is more than enough to worry about. i am taking the SAT in december too, but it seems like i haven't been paying any attention to it =[ i'm screwd.

ChocklitRain, your location amuses me. The top of the bell-curve, fyi, is also known as the "average" or the point under which most people fall.

To use SAT scores as an analogy, a bell curve would be close to the "x axis" for score of around 600 because hardly anyone gets them (y axis is no. of people making that score) and same with a 2400.

In the middle, at the top of the bell curve, you have 1500ish, the average score :P

Here is an example: http://www.greyardmitchell.com/images/SAT-bell-curve.gif

On Topic: I am studying by taking a couple of QAS that I have gotten. I consistently get 800 CR and close to that in M, usually -1 or -2 for W, just trying to close the gap now for the 2400 :)

Umm Blue Book, Rocket Review, PR 11, and DH...just need to get 750+ CR and stop making stupid mistakes in math for 800...

taking reasoning,
using
bb, gruber's, rocket review, direct hits

it was pointed out to me already that the top of a bell curve is the average, but i decided to keep my location just to annoy the statisticians of CC ;)

I'm taking a practice test from the Blue Book each week. I'll probably review in depth the questions I got wrong a few days before the exam.

I have a giant blue book, and should definitely study. I only got a 26 on the SAT, so I've got to get at least a 1900 or else I'm gonna feel like a pretty huge failure.

^ Choklit Rain, you silly sausage. I was joking; don't take it so personally.

@ Obstinate: Maybe you could try some prep books to supplement the blue book. But you're definitely on the right track with the Blue Book.

you are so average choklit rain. (top of the bell curve)
