Entering the Smith school issue (Letter and Science)

Hi I got an admission to the Letter and Science now. It was external transfer application, and I attend to different school
now. However, I applied it to the Smith School because I did not finish my gateway requirement yet.(I just need to take one
class.) I finish the gateway requirement by this Spring 15.The adviser said that I have to submit my final transcript once I
finish it, and they going to re-evaluate it.Also, the adviser said that you will remain in College of Letters and Sciences until
you have completed these gateway requirements.Does meaning that I will get an admission to the Smith School if I finish
my gateway course? Does anybody have similar situation too? Thank you.

It means that they will evaluate your application to the smith school once you meet all the minimum requirements. It isn’t a guarantee into the program. There are a number of people in the fall 2015 transfer thread who have mentioned a similar situation, you should look at that thread to see if anyone has posted updates to their situation.

Hey, I just got into the Smith school last round and @KonstantinLevin is right. Since Smith is a LEP program there are more people applying than there are seats. The admissions committee is just waiting for you to send in your transcript with the gateway class grades. They wont even look at it if you do not have all your gateway classes completed. Good Luck! PM me if you have any further questions.

What are you meaning that last round exactly? Are you just finish your gateway course in this semester? @McIntireguy123

Fall 2015 transfer. I finished my gateway classes one semester before applying.
