Hello Guys
Im a Junior in High School right now. I took 2 AP's Sophomore year and am taking 3 this year.

Next year, I am planning on having 5 AP Credits as Gov/Econ give you 3.

That would be 30 college credits, right?
Would that let me enter UF as a Sophomore if I get accepted? What are the requierements?

What are the benefits? Would I still get to room with freshmen?

Thanks in advance

You apply as a freshman and after you get accepted, they tally up all your credits and allow you to get credit and take higher courses. so by credit you would be a soph, but not technically b/c this is still your first year. you still room with freshman, it’s just that you don’t have to spend all four years and you can finish in 3.

I’m under the same boat at a dual enrollment high school. I’m a senior and finishing with 60 college credits. I applies freshman but if I get in, my credits would count but I would still be considered “freshman”, even though I’m done with my BA in 2 years

UF (engineering school) told us that if you actually get your AA degree while in high school (not just credits) you can apply as both a freshman AND as a transfer student. Provided you get in under either route, you can go directly into your Junior year program provided you met all the pre-requisites. Contact the program/major you are interested in to find out all the pre-requisites. They did tell us that they are not accepting anyone with “almost” an AA degree. They want you to actually have the AA degree.

Like mangofun said you apply as a freshman since your graduating high school and once admitted UF will up your credits and place you accordingly. I’m in dual enrollment as well so I definitely understand your concern. Good luck!

Im not in dual enrollment. I’ve just taken a lot of AP’s

^ Sorry that wasnt meant for you. It was to rosyalem2!
